{Merry Christmas from our home to yours}

{Merry Christmas from our home to yours} Well this is it....here we are again with Christmas knocking @ our door. My heart is very full for all of the wonderful people in my life. I do have to say that I am looking forward to the New Year with high hopes of a fresh start on all of my resolutions. We will be potty training next year so I'm not sure how that will play into my blogging life but we'll take it as it comes and keep re-evaluating. I have had so much fun getting to know new friends via this blog. Thank you so much for all of the niceness that any one of you have given to me. At Christmas time, probably my very favorite tradition has been what is called our family's "Palestine dinner" It always takes place on Christmas Eve and is very simple, perhaps the way it may have been in Jesus's day (well it's always Jesus's day but you know what I mean). The lights are turned down and we dine by fire or candle light. The menu usually always include food

{happy weekend + closet pretty} Yay for Friday once again! Boy the weeks are flying by. Do you notice that when you are extremely busy with work/studies you are just itching to do anything and everything BUT what you are supposed to be doing?? For me that's cleaning and organizing. My house drives me crazy when I am too busy, I dream up all the things I am going to clean and organize once I have the free time to get my hands on them! Enter: closet envy. These two closets below are very different; one is light and airy and the other is dark and chic. But they have one thing in common that is on my 'dream closet' list: Jennifer Eisenstadt Miriam Alia What's that thing in common, you ask?? Beautiful wallpaper lining the back of the shelves. I adore it! Anyone have this in their own closet? Anyone else dreaming of it like me?? If you could choose any wallpaper, what would you choose? {diy} globe pendant light

{diy} globe pendant light Last night I posted this photo on Instagram … I used to sell these lights at colton+cadence , but have run into a low supply of globes at my local thrift shops, so today I figured I would give a quick tutorial on how to make your own! It’s much like my tutorial for the mason jar pendant light , but easier! Supplies: globe pencil exacto knife How to: 1. Cut globe in half…most globes are made of cardboard or chip board and are put together as two pieces at the equator. You can cut along the equator with an exacto knife, but there usually a supporting ring of thick chipboard at the equator that you cannot cut through. I actually put pressure on the equator (with my hand, elbow, or knee) like you do with those pop open cans that cinnamon rolls come in. I do it all the way around the equator…careful not to crush the globe…and it usually comes apart on it’s own without any cutting! 2. Trace around your light socket at the top of the globe and cut a hole with you
