Image
Wonderful Imagination of Recycling Arts to Repurpose Wine Barrels Wine barrels go waste after being emptied but there are some other uses of this barrel. You can open its one side and fill with material then place it vertically. On the upper side place round cut glass to use it as table. You can also make it hollow and grow plants in it. You can cut it into different pieces and place big piece at the bottom and small piece on its upper side cutting and closing from the center. You can also make holes in it and place wine bottle in it. You can see the recycling arts in shape of pet house, side table to place things over it or make sink or wash basin in the washroom by adding washbasin in its middle. Wish I Had One Of Those…

Image
Wish I Had One Of Those… One bad thing about living in an apartment (among many other bad things) is that there isn’t enough room to go crazy with decoration ideas and set up special rooms for hobbies, crafts, etc. I have seen pictures of craft rooms, in particular, that really draw my attention and make me really wish I had some space to make one of my own – especially with my stash of materials growing! Oh well, I guess that’s something to aspire for – getting a house where I can have a room to call my own craft room! In the meantime, here’s some eye-candy: Isaac Bailey Photography You should really check the last link, there’s some gorgeous craft room photos there! Here’s hoping! Window Treatment Styles

Window Treatment Styles Popular In Window Treatment Basics SALE! C9 Champion women's Tech fleece For the ultimate romantic gesture, nothing beats a billowy balloon shade. This sumptuous fabric shade features cascading scallops that culminate in graceful, blousy folds along the bottom. Cords strung though rings on the back make the shade movable, and as the treatment is raised, the vertical gathers create dramatic poufs. Because this treatment usually remains raised, it acts as a valance more often than a shade. The amount of fabric used--at least twice the width of the window--creates the opulent look. Large designs can get lost in the multiple gathers, so opt for solid-color or small-pattern fabrics. Be aware, too, that the number of gathers, pleats, or scallops creates different looks within the balloon-shade and valance family. An Austrian shade, for example, has less shirring and is therefore more tailored than its cousin, the balloon shade. Because this window treatment is s...

we'll keep on biggering and biggering...

we'll keep on biggering and biggering... That's one of my favorite lines from the Lorax and I loved getting all into it with my kids at home when reading the book to them. It also suits this first week back to school project pretty well too:) School started this week here at Zamo and we are getting back in the creative mindset. For the past 4 years I have done a collaborative art mini lesson with the upper grade students to give them a low stress opportunity to create and to go over my art room rules and expectations. I LOVE doing these at the beginning of the year. (well, actually any time I get the chance- see my Gee's Bend and Eleanor McCain projects too:) These collaboratives really click with my love of textile design and pattern. My own work tends to swing back and forth from representational landscapes and interiors to more abstract pattern heavy colored works. I realized on my drive home yesterday that all of these projects have had one shape in common- the circle...
