Convert Recycled Plastic Bottles into a Toy Helicopter

Creatively use plastic bottles to develop toy helicopter, and it will be a great project for your children to involve them in creative activities.

Putting plastic bottles in the recycle bin is not useful, because you can develop some toys with their help. You can engage your children in some creative projects, because with their creative skills and imaginations, it will be easy to design a toy helicopter. Take plastic bottles, different straws and spray paints to design recycled bottle helicopter. You can try different things, such as design doors, windows, passengers and pilot figure. For the successful completion of the project, arrange following tools and supplies:

  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Plastic bottle and straws
  • Ping pong ball and pin

Arrange all tools and take plastic bottle to make a hole in its cap with the help of scissors.

Slice the bottle into two pieces and cut one stripe also for the joining of skids. Make sure to have ball-shaped part to make place for the insertion of ping pong ball.

Slice the straws into three parts by separating the bent heads. Join two longer parts together to make a propeller and join the shorter straws for the preparation of skids. Glue the bent straw into the hole of the cap to have three vital parts to creatively design the mini helicopter.

Use stapler to join all parts to the body of the helicopter and put the ping pong ball in the body to form the cockpit.
