Teen Bedroom Ideas {Girl}
All sources, links, and paint colors can be found at the end of the post!
We have a few special things that are rites of passage here in our home…..one of them being that when you turn 13 you get to completely redo your room. Woohoo! {I wish I was about to turn 13. I want to redo my room. Do you think Handsome would go for it?}
I think Lovely Little did a fabulous job with her bedroom redo. She has some great teen bedroom ideas. She has the smallest of the bedrooms in our cottage….and she has always been great at making the most of it. We still have a few finishing touches to do, but here is the almost finished project…..
She chose a loft double bed with a desk and vanity under it.
Whenever someone comes over they get to add quotes to her quote wall. Sticky notes are a great way to do this….if she ever gets tired of it or wants to change things up they will come off easily with no damage or residue.
To the left of her loft she created a fun reading nook….the left side of the loft has a built in bookcase. The wall mural is a great picture of vintage beach signs. She made the neat wall art out of peanut butter lids glued together.
On the vanity and desk are fun little collections of things that make her smile.
She may possibly just do it….take over the world….. =)
Some fun on the desk…she shared the how to for the mixed media journal last summer.
Some of her favorite stickers line her window. I love her view….she gets to look down on our Nook in the garden.
Chevron is a favorite of hers…..and I love the colors in the duvet and shams!
A corner just for practicing…..
More quotes and whatever she needs to grab as she runs out the door.
Adjacent to her room used to be a small walk-in attic space. Several years ago Handsome finished it off with sheetrock, heating/air, and flooring. We removed the door and it has become not only her closet, but a fun hangout spot for her and her friends. {I’d like to hang out in there….it’s very peaceful and fun!}
She lined the ceiling of the space with twinkle lights, has her fish tank in there……..
a furlicious sofa, and a mini fridge.
I think she did a great job…and it was so fun helping her!
Isn’t it fun seeing your children express themselves and be creative in their own spaces?
